A Poundland Christmas

A Poundland Christmas

I popped into Poundland today to kill some time before my hospital appointment. I wanted to get a drink and Poundland is one of the cheaper places to buy small bottles of Pepsi in town, you get 2 x 500ml for £1 which is a pretty decent deal (B&M is current best at 45p per 500ml bottle) in Sainsbury’s they are £1.15 for 600ml!

Whilst I was browsing and killing time I came across their freshly stocked Christmas shelves and was very pleasantly surprised. In fact I was pretty excited!! Poundland you have outdone yourself this year and I can almost forgive you for selling products for more than a quid each… Almost!

Did you know it is just 9 weeks till Christmas? Every year I leave my gift shopping til the very last minute and end up panic shopping and spending way above my means putting myself in a financially difficult place which isn’t the best way to start a new year.

This year I intend on getting organised early. I want to make a hamper of bits and pieces for those I want to buy for. Things that I know each person will love and enjoy but won’t break the bank so when I spotted Poundland’s Christmas shelves I was so excited!!

Batmobile Bubble Bath

First thing I spotted was a Batmobile shaped bottle of bubble bath. My nephew will love this! He is obsessed with super heroes at the moment! I find it is really quite difficult to find the smaller “bits and pieces” type gifts for boys than it is girls. There are endless aisles in shops full of girly gifts like lip gloss and perfumes but barely anything for the boys so this is a great find, especially since it is £6.96 on Amazon. A massive £5.96 saving.

Snowman Bath Bomb

This super cute snowman bath bomb is just adorable. I am going to grab a few of these for my gift baskets. It is completely unisex, who doesn’t love a soak in the bath? I know my nephew will think its cute. I might have to pick up one for myself too. They have a gingerbread man version too which is on Amazon for £3.99!

Make Up Gallery

Poundland’s Make Up section is ever growing! They have a huge range of make up items both from their own range and branded. This cute little nail file and clipper set it perfect for anyone who loves to manicure their nails plus Poundland have a huge range of nail polishes so you can pair it up with one of the sparkly festive ones if you want. I’m going to get my brother one of these he likes to keep his nails tidy and is always losing his clippers so he will love this little gift.

Avengers Calendar

This Marvel Avengers Calendar for 2017 is full size and fantastic quality for just £1 similar Marvel calendars on Amazon are £8.99 each. I usually never buy my calendar before the new year because the price will always drop dramatically on January 1st and if you wait a further week you’ll find your 2017 calendar for upto 75% off but you really can’t go wrong with this one for £1. My nephew started school this year (where does the time go?) so he can put his school holidays and little friends birthday parties on here to keep organised.

Disney Princess Calendar

Unfortunately I don’t have any little girls to buy for, which is a shame because how cute is this calendar? It is £5.98 on Amazon so a huge saving in Poundland! I am sure there are plenty of big girls out there who would love this too.

Audrey Hepburn Gift Set

Other Christmas gifts in Poundland include this Audrey Hepburn gift set which holds a little shower gel and bottle of perfume. It is ideal for teenagers and adults.

Chocolates

Now Poundland is always a great place to go to pick up sweets! I always go to Poundland to stock up before going to the cinema because they are so much cheaper. Christmas time I tend to buy my chocolates from Marks and Spencer’s or Thorntons because they seem more luxurious but this selection Poundland has bought out this year looks perfect for gifting to my family and friends.

I’m so excited about this years Poundland Christmas selection, I might just be able to keep to my budget this year now.

Have you checked out your local Poundland? Let me know! What you will be picking up?

    Hi

I definitely agree about getting gift sets like these from Poundland or other similar stores like Poundworld.
I’ve seen these exact same sets in some higher end stores or pharmacies and the price seems to get jacked up to £10-£20.
